Data Management Plans by USC Authors: Sample Plans

Consult these DMPs by researchers at USC for help creating a Data Management Plan of your own.

These examples from USC proposals were contributed by faculty from a number of disciplines. We thank those investigators who gave permission to include their DMPs in this collection. If you would like to contribute a DMP to be included here, please contact Stacy Winchester, Sciences and Engineering Librarian at Thomas Cooper Library.

You are free to use these plans as a starting point, but keep in mind that they are project-specific. Don't copy and paste wording from these guides, but instead, use them to give you ideas about your project's data management needs. For more information on DMPs, visit University Libraries Online Guide to Data Management.

Data Management Plan help is also available from DMPTool, a free, online wizard for creating plans. Select University of South Carolina and log in with your network username and password.
