How to Find Book Reviews  

When locating book reviews, it is very important to remember:

• Reviews usually appear within three to five years of the publication date of a book.
• In most cases it is best to start with a general book reviewing source like Book Review Digest or Book Review Index.
• If your book was published after 1980, you may prefer to use Academic Search Premier or Book Review Index Plus Online first.
• After you have located the complete citation to a review, you must check the Library's catalog to see if the periodical in which the review was published is owned by the Library.
