Book Review Basics
When locating book reviews, it is very important to remember:
-
Reviews usually appear within three to five years of the publication date of a book.
-
In most cases it is best to start with a general book reviewing source like Book Review Digest or Book Review Index.
-
If your book was published after 1980, you may prefer to use Academic Search Premier or Book Review Index Plus Online first.
-
After you have located the complete citation to a review, you must check the Library's catalog to see if the periodical in which the review was published is owned by the Library.
Use the tabs above to find instructions on how to locate book reviews in either electronic or print resources.
