Accessing an article database, electronic journal holdings, or an electronic book from either of the library catalogs (Quick or Classic) requires your Network Username and Password. If you want to request a book from within either library catalog you can use either your network username and password or your last name and barcode on the back of your CarolinaCard.
If you are having problems with your Network Username and Password, try entering it into University Technology Service's username and password verification page.
Use this to add the library's proxy server prefix to the URL you have for library content. This new link will allow you to access the content by way of the library's subscription.
Access to library resources is restricted while working from some countries outside of the United States. In these instances, you may be required to download and use the University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) to gain access to library subscription content. The VPN is made available via University Technology Services (UTS). (NOTE: In most cases library resources will be accessible no matter where you are provided library supply links are used.)
A few library services require you to use a barcode number. Find out how to get a CarolinaCard or a card from Distributed Learning Support Services.
