HIST 112 (Donaldson) Monument Project: Finding Sources

Getting Started

  • First try to establish when the monument was created and/or dedicated, so you have an idea of the time period you are researching.
  • Also try to identify information about the person and/or organization responsible so you can search for additional information about them in the library catalog and other resources.
  • If using something like Wikipedia, use links and references to find more reliable, scholarly sources such as biographies, history books, and journal articles.
