- ILL Express!ILL Express! can be used to request articles held in paper format (not electronic) by Thomas Cooper Library, the Business Library, the Music Library, and the Library Annex are available through this service.
ILL Express! can also be used to request articles not held in electronic or paper format by the University Libraries.
Constructing a Keyword Search

group terms joined by OR (great britain or united states) and civil war

* wildcard, finds characters beyond the root word (some databases have other symbols)
journalis* will find journalism, journalist, journalists
Pay attention to subject terms or descriptors located in library catalog and article database bibliographic records. These terms will give you ideas for other keywords. Also, you can click on the subject terms or descriptors to find like information or use them in a subject search.
Sometimes less is more. If your search has a lot of aspects to it, focus on a few of the most important concepts.
