Dissertations and Theses

Requesting UofSC Dissertations & Theses
Online access is limited to current students, faculty and staff of the university, with the exception of Open Access dissertations and theses which are available for download in Scholar Commons.

If you are not affiliated with the university, you can try the following to get access to UofSC dissertations and theses:

  • Search in the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database if you are affiliated with or located near another institution that provides it
  • Make an interlibrary loan request through your home institution or local public library if they offer that service
  • Order a copy through Dissertations Express from ProQuest if available (fees apply). Search by title, author, keyword, or ProQuest publication number.

Author Copies
Alumni who would like a physical copy of their own dissertation can purchase one from ProQuest if available.

If you are purchasing your own dissertation, please contact Author School Relations to receive author pricing. Call 1-800-521-0600 or send email to disspub@proquest.com.
