If you select "Download Data" for your country and download to Excel, there is a tremendous amount of statistical data. Tip: Select the Sheet 1 tab in Excel if you are having trouble finding what you need (it often defaults to Sheet 2 tab).
This new site currently contains the full World Development Indicators (WDI), Global Development Finance (GDF), and Africa Development Indicators (ADI) as well as several other World Bank databases such as Global Economic Monitor (GEM), Education Statistics, etc.

International Monetary Fund
Some free data is available on IMF website, including a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators.
EUROSTAT
Eurostat is your key to European statistics. Free access to statistical data provided by European Commission. Search by keyword or browse by topic.
LABORSTA
Free statistics on global employment, unemployment, wages, consumer prices, and occupational injuries. You can search by topic or by country.
Labour Force Surveys from ILO
A standard household-based survey of work-related statistics for international households.
UNdata
UnData, a world of information. It offer free access to 60 million statistical records from 24 UN agencies. One can search by keyword or browse by topic or country.
