IBUS 301 (Nartey): Globalization & Business Project: Private/Local Companies

Other Sources for Local Company Information

Think creatively when looking for information on local/private companies. Since U.S. private companies do not have strict filing requirements, it can be difficult to find company information; it is even more difficult for private companies in other countries.

1. Company's website--you can often glean information about a company's customers, suppliers, and strategic vision from its website

2. Contact the company directly

3. Scan news articles (see News tab in this guide)

4. Benchmark using a similar company in size, region, industry, etc.
