About Data Visualization Lab

The Data Visualization Lab at L516D of the Thomas Cooper Library is designated for research projects related to visualization and spatial analysis.

We  provide remote access to computers at the Data Visualization Lab. Contact Peng Gao at if you are interested.

Hours of Operation and Capabiliity

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Patrons who want to access the lab from 4 pm to 8 pm need to get approval from Dr. Peng Gao for the first time of visit.
  • The lab can hold groups up to 10 people or so.


  • Currently-enrolled students, faculty and staff only
  • Priorities are given to research projects
  • No food or drinks allowed
  • No pornographic material permitted
  • No unattended children
