EBSCOhost
• The first time you login to an EBSCOhost resource with OpenAthens, you will be asked to consent to collection of your personal data. If you agree, it will automatically create a personal account for you where you can save items and searches in your folder.
You can also decline and still be able to use EBSCOhost resources, but you won't have access to these features.
• To retrieve saved items from a previous EBSCOhost account, merge it with your new account.
- Click on Update My Account in the top right corner
- Scroll down to Merge accounts and click Get started.
- You will be prompted to login to your old account.
• Some new OpenAthens users see an error message after consenting to personal data collection. This is known issue.
Closing the browser window and clicking on the database link again usually solves the problem. You may need to clear your browser cache and cookies.
