Broadside, 13 Feb. 1845, re U.S. Senate Bill S.127 authorizing the Company to import certain pipes and machinery duty free "for the application of the atmospheric pressure, as a propelling power on railroads, not to exceed what is sufficient for a road one mile in length. South Carolina LGBTQ Collection
Letters, publications, organizational files and other items of individuals and organizations that promote equality and the concerns of the GLBTQ community in South Carolina. Persons represented include Jim Blanton, Harriet Hancock, Ed Madden, "Master Regi," Alvin A. McEwen, Carol Stoneking, Patricia Voelker, Steve Waites, Ryan Wilson, and others.
Collection includes newsletters, directories, guides, national and local publications, scrapbooks, photographs, posters and other materials re GLBTQ life in S.C. and elsewhere; records documenting planning and organization of Gay Pride festivals in Columbia, Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach and elsewhere around S.C., as well as materials relating to South Carolina Black Pride festival, which began in 2006; Scrapbooks, 1992 and 2002.
